Behind the Scenes — Listening Comes First

Every memorial piece begins the same way: by listening .

Because no two bonds are alike—and our job is to hold onto what makes you unmistakably yours.

The moment

Many people arrive carrying two emotions at once: love and a quiet sense of fear .
Love is what brings them in with a story to tell.
Fear comes from the very same place: the memory matters so much that trusting it to someone else feels daunting.

The Process

Ava's work starts by finding what you recognize first. From your photos and your words, she identifies three essential “anchors”: features, expression, and silhouette .

Those anchors are what make a piece feel personal—not generic.

Only then does she begin shaping and refining. She checks the work under different lighting, compares details again and again, and completes a second review in the studio—until it's something you can recognize at a glance

The Reveal

Ava says, “Often, someone takes a long look at the details—and then quietly says, 'That's them.'”

It's about the details being real enough that, in a certain moment, you may feel as if they've come back to your side.”
